Akin to the Baroque, Romantic, and twentieth-century repertoire, Gabriele Leporatti’s pianism is distinguished by a profound exploration of sound, meticulous attention to detail, and an expressive elegance that translates into performances of great intensity and individuality.

His concert career has taken him to some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls, including London’s Wigmore Hall, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the NDR in Hanover, the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, and the He Luting Hall in Shanghai, as well as to major festivals such as the Settimane Musicali di Ascona, the Festival de Torroella de Montgrí, the International Keyboard Institute & Festival in New York, and the Tbilisi Piano Fest.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with leading international orchestras, including the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, and with internationally renowned conductors such as Thomas Søndergård and Charles Dutoit, performing a broad repertoire for piano and orchestra.

His interpretations, characterized by a constant search for a balance between stylistic rigor, analytical depth, and expressive freedom, have been broadcast by international radio and television networks including the BBC, BR-KLASSIK, ARD, WDR 3, NPO, SRF 2, and Rai 3.

His chamber music activity is particularly intense. He regularly collaborates with renowned soloists and ensembles, developing projects that range from the great chamber music tradition to experimentation and dialogue between different artistic disciplines. This has led him to pursue an increasingly strong interest in interdisciplinary research and the creation of new concert formats.

In 2015, he founded Etera Classics, a record label with a strong artistic identity, for which he conceives and produces his own recording projects. In 2021, he founded Etera Thesan, an editorial division dedicated to supporting and promoting young artists, whose first production was nominated for the prestigious Opus Klassik Award in the category Young Artist of the Year.

His discography encompasses both solo and chamber repertoire, including works by Scarlatti, Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Ravel, and Respighi, among other composers. In 2025, his most recent recording project was released, dedicated to two twentieth-century giants, Ferruccio Busoni and Sergei Rachmaninoff.

Regularly invited to give masterclasses throughout Europe, the United States, and Asia, Gabriele Leporatti also serves as a jury member at international piano competitions. He is Professor of Piano and Chamber Music at the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein in Düsseldorf, where he leads an international class of young pianists, many of whom have won prizes at prestigious competitions and are already embarking on promising international concert careers.

Born in Pistoia, Italy, he studied with Fabio Bidini, Maria Tipo, and Joaquín Achúcarro, developing a pianistic vision founded on a profound exploration of sound, interpretative depth, and a constant awareness of the relationship between tradition and contemporary musical thought.
