Italian pianist Gabriele Leporatti began his music studies at the age of six and graduated with the highest grades as well as a special mention from "L.Cherubini" Conservatory in Florence at the age of nineteen. He continued then his musical education under the guide of world-renowned pianists like Joaquin Achucarro, Fabio Bidini, Jerome Rose and Maria Tipo. He has been awarded top prizes in several national and international competitions (3rd prize in the IX International Piano Competition "Città di Pinerolo", Special Award at Bremen Klavierwettbewerb and the Dorothy McKenzie Award 2nd Prize, New York) He has given concerts in Spain, USA, United Kingdom (Wigmore Hall), South Africa, Germany (Herford Philharmonie, Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover), Estonia and Switzerland (Großer Saal des Konservatoriums, Bern), while some of his performances were broadcasted by classical radios like SAFm, South Africa. Gabriele Leporatti has played in several international festivals, both as soloist and chamber musician with artists like Eva Mei and Fabio Bidini, in Italy, Germany and Spain. Since 2007 he is co-musical director of the Linari Classic Festival in Italy, where he regularly performs with soloists from the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Amsterdam. His discography includes a four hands piano music CD with Fabio Bidini (Schubert, Brahms, Rachmaninoff) for True Sounds Label and a solo CD “The Young Brahms” with early Brahms piano music.
